I agree, this looks a LOT like a disguised Panamera.
Can't wait to see how this new car turns out!
It doesn't seem to be a disguised Panamera or a muletto with a Panamera body. There are a lot of similarities (as one might expect for two 4-door Porsche sedans only slightly different in size), but all the details one can definitively make out are different from the Panny: door handles, front triangle window (missing on the prototype), front bumper, rear bumper, mirror, door stamping, wing, diffusor etc. All the new elements look production ready and identical on all the prototypes. That wouldn't make sense if this was a just a muletto using a hacked up Panamera body.
It was always unlikely that the pillar-less suicide doors would make it to production. Reality will be somewhere between the Panny and the Mission E concept.
Cars in the pictures are pre-production prototypes, not test mules. Minus the tape/camouflage, that's what it's going to be.
Thanks. If that's the case, I am less excited about Mission E. This looks like a Panny to my untrained eye. If I'm driving the latest & great and "next big thing", I'd like it to look distinct from the other cars already in their line-up - something that makes it look futuristic. I guess I'll have to wait for them to slap an electric motor in a 911...T
