I'm not the original owner, but my wife loves our aqua blue metallic 6 speed manual with carbon buckets. She's not happy that I have it up for sale.

Just found this thread.
I'm on my 2nd 987 Spyder.
I was original owner of Arctic Silver 2011. Car was PDK. Loved it but missed manual gear box.
2nd 987 Spyder is Carrara manual stripper A/C & Radio delete, buckets, short throw shifter and PSE.
This is my favorite car to drive. It is so light & precise and the gearing is just right. Not sure what other car around beats this when price is factored in given the drivability, looks, rarity etc.
will try and post some pics

Just seeing this post. I ordered my Spyder to my spec and took delivery in 2010. I still have it and now have clocked 75,000 miles!! All have been a joy. There is a sweetness to this car. It was my daily driver, but a GT4 has now assumed that role. Attaching a couple of photos from an epic drive with Pete Stout, featured in 000 magazine.

Awesome photos everyone, nice to see the original owners posting here!
Zellamsee I was wondering who's Spyder was in 000 magazine. Pete as always had good things to say about the Spyder, even amongst the venerable 918.
There's no doubt that the Spyder hits a sweet spot when it comes to sports cars.

Burning Brakes
I am the original titled owner but the car languished for two years in a bizarre legal dispute between Warren Buffets personal assistant and Porsche of Omaha. She bought the car by driving by the dealership and liking the look and made a phone call. Dead of Winter the car sat for months and when finally driven the dreaded " where is the power top button" reared its ugly head.
When the story was related to me it was comical, pathetic and a fantastic buying opportunity for me to buy the car with 73 miles on it at a fantastic price.
Anytime I think I am not driving it enough <5k miles and driving my other Porsches I make myself place it in the garage where I have to drive it and that impulse utterly goes away. My wife loves the car and even though I am getting a 2018 GT3 I will not be getting rid of this anytime soon.
