Yes sir. The carbon brakes are the bomb. It’s only been in North America for a few months. It lived with it’s first owner in Hawaii for the first 12 years.

This one looks like my spec, but my wheels are black. The previous owner of mine checked all the boxes, with the exception of a lithium battery

Such an excellent spec. Your wheels were powdercoated/refinished, correct? Based on your build, I don't think it came like that from factory. Looks incredible.

Wow interesting, I really never thought about the wheels not coming from the factory; I always assumed they were spec'ed to the car.. They are a powdercoat satin type finish just like on my 991.2. I'll have to do some investigating. They are a Porsche factory wheel.

They are likely refinished since they are missing the silver/polished outer lip. I’m not speaking with impunity though I’ve yet to see a 987.2 Spyder with factory black wheels that didn’t have this feature.

This is correct, if they were done from factory, they would be gloss color and would have the silver lip on them. Whether someone chose XD9, wheels painted in exterior color, or XDA, wheels painted black, they should have this feature.

You can also see some examples of it in this brochure.

Here’s a cream white listed for sale on Autotrader. I can’t attach the link, but the build sheet is below. Asking price is $125K and the car has 2600 miles.

Full dislosure: My Spyder can be had for much less.

Those Spyder wheels have definitely been painted after the fact, the factory finish is high gloss black and as previously noted has a silver lip on the outside edge. I don’t recall there being an option you could select for all black wheels unless it was a special wishes which would show up on the options list.

Stunning Spyder regardless and wheels are minor in the grand scheme of things.

I think these were the painted wheel options (copied off of the Spyder database):

Wheels Painted Black (XDA)
Wheels Painted Basalt Black Metallic (XDB)
Wheels Painted Carrara White (XDD)

And to my knowledge, the black had the silver rim, like this shown here (note the unpainted barrels):

I concur. I have XDA and XRR (19” Carrera Sport) option codes on mine.

Definitely aftermarket for a few reasons...the wheel is missing the silver ring around the circumference and the inside barrel of the wheel is black. Also, factory-painted matte/satin black wheels do not have that texture.
