Default Porsche Spyder PDK hard to move

Hi all, I bought a 2011 Boxster Spyder PDK, sport buckets, PSE, PCM etc - well equipped, white with black wheels. Only 5000 miles and never tracked. I had planned to keep it for 2 years and move on to a 991 cab, thought it would be easy to flip, being a future collectible, etc. I have listed it for 6 months now and have yet to have a serious offer. What gives? Is it that everyone that is serious and wants a Spyder has one already? I live on the west coast - thought that would be an easy sell. The blogs suggest this is a desirable car. Dealer says it is very hard to move. What do you all think?

For me the answer is the PDK. I'd be all over that otherwise.

Agree that a manual is preferable to me, but still surprising. Saw one like this in San Diego. It lasted 1 day on the dealer lot.

Maybe roof and Vancouver rain don't mix? Ship it south.

I have one like yours, bought new and I'll be in my grave before it's sold... It's a car thats not for everyone... Move it to California and it will sell in days (I bought mine in CA but I lived in PA at the time - now i"m in SF)

Wher do you have it listed? I think the PDK would be less desirable in a speedster, but that's just me. I like 3 pedals and don't care if its 0.2 slower at 0 to whatever.
My guess is it's either not getting enough exposure to the right eyeballs (see above), most active buyers only want a MT or your pricing may not be in line with the current market.
Or some combination of the three. The way they come and go, I can't believe it won't sell pretty quickly with some tweaking on your part. Great color combo, IMO.
GLWS.

How much are you asking for the car? What was the original MSRP?

I am thinking it is the PDK too. Going to drop price 10% for a quick sale now that summer is ending. Original MSRP was $83k. The car has too may options it seems.
I am asking now $64k CDN, about $62 USD.
Thanks for your input. Wish I had got a MT.

Listed in Panorama and AutoTrader.ca for 6 months. I got a bunch of low ball offers.
If it does not draw the right price, it will become my collectible by default - LOL.

There is a price point where this will sell you just need to find it. It's now stale and I am sure people that are looking for one are thinking yours is an albatross and are wondering why it's been for sale for 6 months. What's wrong with it ? Even if there is nothing wrong with it potential buyers have that in the back of their head.

I'd get the price under 60k if you really want to move it. I'd also bring it to car events with a for sale sign as these cars are stunning in person. Pictures don't do them justice.

I'm still half-tempted by it... But I've only just started my search for a spyder so I haven't given up my hopes for a manual yet. But yours has the right seats and the PSE that I want. If it was 6 months from now and I was still looking I'd probably buy it.

Also, how does the whole importing from Canada thing work? I know you were only advertising on autotrader.ca... Not sure how big an audience is for the car there.

Get it on regular autotrader, the Canadian market is way too small for this type of car.

Pricing seems right, remember it's Canadian not US Dollars.

Thanks all for input. I will list it on US auto trader. This is a US car so no issue returning to US.
Might make a trip to California and trade in.

Jean Marc what type of spyder do you have? I just received my spyder last week (in North Beach).
