John, carbon bucket seats will get rid of some of that 'plush' feel you're talking about.
LOL! A country blues song for sure!

Thanks guys...I love the car and do like the seats it came with. I have no problem with them. Yeah the other seats are probably better for that race feel, but I'm going to drive the car for a year before I start making any changes to it. I'm just going to enjoy what I have. It's a wonderful car.

silberwolfen, Did you buy any 80 grit sandpaper yet? Plan on getting a very sore elbow as even with such an aggressive grit getting the smile off your face takes a lot of rubbing.

Hey NSX...the 996T was a fun car, but once I started modding things it turned into an endless cycle of repairs. One afternoon I came across a Spyder at a local dealership and fell in love with the car.

The fun factor is quite high---like your NSX. Two very different cars.

I just put in 996gt3 seats in my CS a month ago... Those make the gt2s feel like sofas! Someday I'll switch to those. They are way comfortable.

Spyders were available in the following colors:

Standard
- Black
- White
- Red

Optional (added cost)
- Basalt Black
- Aqua Blue
- Silver (can't remember the exact name)

Special Color (higher added cost)
- Cream White

Paint to sample ($5800 more) was offered for one week at the end of the Spyder run. I think four made it into the US.

Not too many color options but one thing is certain, they all look great!

There were two silvers available on the Spyder. Early production cars built spring/summer of 2010 had the option of Arctic silver, which was replaced by Platinum silver on all Porsche models for 2011 (fall 2010 production).

Arctic is closest to Porsche racing silver of the 1950s, and therefore the most desirable, the most collectible, and of course the fastest.
