Default Spyder gathering

We just returned from our very first Parade in Savannah, was a lot of fun!

Porsche Parade is Jul 8-16 in Salt Lake City next year, far away but not too soon to start planning for a trip there

wouldn't it be cool to have a special "Spyder Corral?"

I'm already planning on being there with the Spyder to Concours and autocross

who's in?

I would consider it for sure. The drive from Philly would be a long one for sure - but with a few other Spyders (and other Pcars) it would be a blast!! If others are coming from the NE i would be into it - and think a special Spyder area out there would be quite fitting.

My wife and I are planning to attend. It's an easy, fast drive from Colorado with great driving roads. I've never seen two Spyders in the same place at the same time. Should be fun.

Our Zone 4 Chapter of PCA has two white Spyders in club, but both have never shown up at same local event yet. One showed up at MIS PCA event and hit 140mph on the track and another at our Progressive Dinner where we ended evening with about 40 Porsches cruising Woodward Avenue Saturday night two abreast. Quite a sight since Woodward is a haunt for American muscle cars. Hopefully the pics will be put into Panorama magazine sometime later this year. The lead Porsche was the white Spyder. A modern Pontiac GTO tried to race him. We kept the Boxsters together, 356's in another group, and 911's brought up the rear. In our group also was a Porsche S Turbo and you could hear that beast up and down Woodward as he had heavy foot. The usual crowd in the lawn chairs by side of road enjoyed it as Woodward Dream Cruise has turned into all summer night event.

By the way, the past 3 Rennsport Reunion's have been on the East Coast. From the pictures I have seen, this is the greatest gathering of Porsche race cars at any event. The factory brings out almost all of the cars from the museum. The last Rennsport had all of the famous 917's in the museum out at the track. It should be like nothing else a Porsche Event has seen at the famous Laguna Seca. I thought a few years ago was good when Porsche was the marque at the Historics but I expect this to surpass that.
