Thanks guys!

This car looks so much better in person than it does in pictures.

I spent some time playing with the buttons today and learning more about the car. It feels so good sitting in the Sport Buckets. My mom sat in them today and when she fell in she said "it's like the car draws you in and embraces you"

Still trying to figure out the following:

1. How does the ipod connect and can it be controlled through the radio?
2. How much effort is required to close the trunk? Seems like I'm going to dent it when I slam it but it doesn't close that easily otherwise. Any suggestions?

Here's a few more shots of the car, pictures don't do this color justice though.

I can't answer the iPod question as I have the radio delete, but I can answer the trunk question. If you are talking about the front trunk, don't slam it! Lower it until it clicks from the latch. Then push down on the lid on both sides of the crest and it will click again. If you are talking about the rear hatch, I usually hold it about 1.5 ft away from closing and just let gravity do the rest. No slamming involved with both. Enjoy your new baby... She's a beaut!

Looks great, I prefer the Black Spyder even if it's a lot of work.

Enjoy your new ride.

Nice car Marine Blue !! When I saw your license plate it brought me back to the days of my youth where I would spend hours at Paul Miller's. I grew up in Parsippany and graduated from PHHS (Parsippany Hill HS). The dealer use to be on Route 46, not sure if it has moved. My dad and I would like to go into the showroom and just look and sit in the cars, looking back I never imagine I would ever own one. My Dad has long since passed but I know he would be happy that one of our dreams came true

Can't help with the iPod question. But both trunks need zero effort to close. No slamming needed.

When my car was brand new, the trunks were very air tight probably due to the new rubber seals. With the rear trunk, I just spread the fingers of both hands, and just kind of followed the trunk down as it closed. With the front trunk, I spread the fingers of both hands keeping them each of my hands a little away from the Porsche emblem. I figure by spreading the weight of my hands over a larger area, it should not dent. I use the "pads" of the fingers, not the tips.

Beautiful car!

First off, congrats... the car is beautiful. You will enjoy it!

For the ipod question, you should have an Aux Jack in the center arm rest (mini-phone plug) if you got the CDR-30 radio with the other 0 cost option of Universal Audio interface. That will allow you to hear the ipod when the stereo is on Aux mode (you will need to get a cable from radio shack or some electronic store to make the connection) Unfortunately with that setup, you cannot control the ipod with the car.

For the hatch question, the front hatch is like all other porsches, close softly, then push down gently on the very edge (some say the emblem, I am too chicken to push there) of the hatch to latch (no slamming). For the rear, it is exactly as the previous poster said, just hold about half way down and drop, letting gravity do the rest.
