Default Engine access boxster spyder.

I could not find instructions in the manual on how get to the engine.

Any insight? I remember my 2006 S had info in the owners manual.

Porsche no longer includes the engine access instructions in the Boxster manual, from 2007-on. They really want to encourage owners to have dealers work on the cars. When I had to access my '08 S engine bay, I had to download the 2006 manual for instructions.

Looking at some pictures of the Spyder with the lid up, the engine access looks very similar to the Boxster one. So, I would imagine (I haven't seen the car with lid up in person), once you have the lid open....(if its like the '08) you should find 4 twist locks that will help remove the carpeted engine cover. Double check.

Its easy. Once you take a look at it, its easy to figure out. Start with the black styrofoam top holder, then on to the felt.
