Default Boxster Spyder Arrived

Finally got here. Porsche has hit a home run with this car. The only options on my car are climate control, radio, and full red leather. Here are the plusses and some nitpicking.
Bucket Seats: Amazing seats. Comfortable and perfect fit. Expensive look. Some of the best seats I've had in any car. A must have.

6 Speed: Perfect, easy shifts every time. Does not have the Sport Shifter and I don't need it in this car.

Clutch: Perfect.

Handling: Perfect. Love the steering wheel.

Ride Quality: Great ride and not harsh at all.

Some Nitpicking:
Top down and above 50 mph there is a little more wind in the cabin than I would like. Not a deal breaker. Not much difference with wind in the cabin between 50 and 85 mph.

Horse Power: I would like a little more. The car doesn't need more hp. It's more than adequate. More is just better.

I have not driven the car with the top up so I can't comment on that. Took the dealer 15 minutes to take off the top the first time. Didn't read the instructions. After that only a couple of minutes to take off the top.

I realize the BS and the GT3 are different buyers but after owning both I can honestly say I would pick the BS over GT3. The fun factor and driving satisfaction in the BS is an A+.

Congratulations on the car. I can't wait for mine to arrive which will be sometime in early July.

I didn't think I was allowed to post pictures? I'm not a "member."

IMO worth the membership just to see your own beauty on display.

Hey John, will you be able to elaborate in Total 911 about your Spyder?

I dare say it will be able to sneak in under the radar...

Apparently someone at Porsche GB specifically expressed an interest in seeing it with my 964 in a feature.

Hey John,
Nice looking ride. Mailed my $50 for the PCA Member Only Raffle yesterday. How do you like the PORSCHE decal down the side? Got one in the mail last week but I'm not sure if I'll put it on my 79. Have also been quoted price for red seat belts. It sure looks nice!

I quite like decals - a bit of a retro look.

It helps that my friend Brian (the Blue Shadow, to those in the know) absolutely despises them - always a good decision maker for me. :-)
