Default Left Body Ventostomy?

Has anyone... opened up the left side vent on their 987.2 Spyder? In it's standard form, the left vent is closed, as opposed to the right vent that's open and has a little fan in there.

I'd love to open it up and hear if there's any increase in engine sound.

Thoughts anyone?

Desnorkel is a fairly common modification although you might end up getting more debris into your air filter so you might need to increase the filter change frequency. And yes the induction noise does increase with this modification but it doesn’t really impact power.
