Another Production Number Thread
Hi All,
I'm the lucky new owner of VIN WP0CB2A88BS745478, which, according to this database, I believe to be 1 of 10 Spyders delivered in NA with sport buckets, 6-speed, A/C delete, and radio delete. Are there any existing resources on global production of the 'stripper spec' 987 Spyder?
If there were only 10 buckets + a/c delete + radio delete cars made for NA, my simple extrapolation would put total production of that spec around 24 cars globally, but who knows?
Curious if anyone else has more info or a similarly specced car. I was hesitant on the stripper spec at first, but after these last 4,000 miles, I wouldn't go back!
Cheers

Congrats on the Spyder, and welcome to the club! Glad to hear you’re enjoying the car.
In my opinion, the minimalist or stripper spec is actually pretty rare. I’m one of the crazy guys that lives in a hot climate that would like to trade a Spyder with AC and radio for the ultimate lightweight spec. Eventually I will list my car, and start the search for my preferred spec.
There are a few owners on RL that probably know the specific numbers. Also, there is a spreadsheet with most of the builds associated, so hopefully someone can provide exact details.
