Before --> After. New purchase
Well it finally happened. I had been wanting a Silver/Red or White/ Red for quite some time. It had to have buckets and a manual the rest I didnt care as much about. This has sports exhaust, short shifter, AC, leather on the steering column and thats about it. I had picked up a 2008 RS60 thinking it would be nearly the same as the Spyder a couple years ago but it was not the same. Amar kindly let me drive his White Spyder a couple months ago and the hunt was on. I found this car not advertised about a month or so ago with 12.6k on it. Had a proper PPI done and really didnt find much other than a coolant hose leak which was fixed by the owner prior to sale. The Spyder originally came with silver wheels so the black ones will be for sale shortly as I dont need a spare set. With much help from Amar and Afshin (Spyder_2011) I created a to do list. New Wheels, Michelin rubber, New rotors and pads and small pieces that go along with it. There was still plenty of life left in the robots and pads but I am OCD and wanted it to look mint! New OEM Battery, cabin filter, and engine filter. I had never done a brake job on a Porsche but it was relatively easy. Next up is engine oil, tranny oil, PS fluid flush, alignment and inspection of motor and tranny mounts. A prior owner had the steering wheel dyed to remove a scratch but they did a horrible job so a new steering wheel was also ordered. Id like to replace the yellowing PPF but that can wait till spring. Anyway here's my progress photos to date,

American Custom Lifts. It's the 6.5 model versus the 4.5 model. I opted for the 6.5 (meaning it can lift 6,500#) as it is able to lift the car above 6' so that I can walk under the lift without my head hitting the bottom of the lift. At the time (2019) the 4.5 was only able to lift to a height of 5' 9" or so. Its a great lift and makes detailing the underside and or oil changes so much easier.
