Complete 987.2 Cayman R database
I guess I just have a lot of time on my hands.... I took the data from vinanalytics and compiled it into a data similar to the complete 987.2 Spyder database (link to database) for those of you interested.
It took me a while to enter all of the data and I figured maybe somebody else will get something out of the already complied data so why not share it.
Unfortunately, I am not granting editing access as I did that with my other shared databases on RL and unfortunately, someone erased all of the data so it's view only for you. If you view the database and would like me to link pictures/threads to your specific VIN, please post it in this thread or PM me and I'll be sure to add it.
Right now, I'm sorting the database by color, USA/Canada, and Price. Here is the link to the data base: complete 987.2 Cayman R database

Simon Ogden did a similar analysis during Covid using VINanalytics... here's some of his takeaways:
- 563 US and 61 Canada cars (624 total for North America)
- 55% of cars were manual, 45% were PDK
- 60% of cars were sold with the Sport Seats, 40% were sold with the Bucket Seats (so many mistakes were made)
- 97% of cars were sold with A/C
- The 3 most popular colors were:
- Carrara White (25.48%)
- Peridot Metallic (18.43%)
- Black (15.87%)
- There were 5 Paint-to-Sample cars. 4 PTS non-metallic, 1 PTS metallic
- 4.5% of cars were sold with PCCB
- There were 7 press vehicles

Thank you for the Spyder db. I had seen all the build sheets posted and considered making a table myself but there was no way i could make the time. Greatly appreciated. Mines WP0CB2A81BS745340 if you wanted to update owners name. Its in San Antonio TX now.
If others want to let me know which VIN you own and share pictures, I'll be happy to update on your behalf.
Keep in mind that I updated the database using a 3rd party database so my data is only as good as the source material and of course, I entered it all by hand so if there are corrections, please let me know.

If you're keeping track of wrecked/totaled ones, WP0AB2A89CS793404, a Peridot example, was totaled and sold with a Texas salvage title on Copart last week for $25-30k. I'm guessing it's going to be repaired.

Thanks for putting this together. When cross referencing some of my data, I found a few invalid VINs and figured it'd be helpful if I posted them here and then you could correct them.
Do a find and replace on WPA0 and replaced with WP0A.
WP0AB2A87CS793452 is not a real VIN, that should be WP0AB2A87CS793451
WP0AB2A86CS793`263 is mistyped, change that to WP0AB2A86CS793263
