The January 2022 issue of “Panorama” magazine is a Special Design Issue featuring four special Porsches: GT3 Touring, Carrera GT, 987 Boxster Spyder, and 356B Coupe. Interesting company that the 987 Spyder keeps. In the article, the Spyder is paired with another iconic mode of transport: the Concorde. Hmmm….

IMHO, no less random than the pairing of the 911 GT3 Touring and the GM EMD F7 diesel locomotive!
I'm always in for reading more about design / design analysis, but this year's essays were too meta!

Just read the article last night! Fairly gushy about the 987 Boxster Spyder (expected for a design issue). I appreciate the call out that you could get it with a radio/ac delete but does that really matter. Maybe matters to some but personally I am super glad that I can bomb up the road on a hot day with the A/C blowing, AC/DC blaring, and a silly *** smile. Man I love my Spyder…

My two passions: aviation and sports cars. I was like a kid in the candy store, especially when that sports car is a 987 Spyder.
