Default Bought at CarMax/Anyone know this Spyder?

Hello - I've been looking for a unique color/low mileage 987 for months and decided to expand my search. Last week I found this Spyder at CarMax Rochester. A 1 owner, 12K mile car. Carfax and Autocheck did not show a selling dealer or any service. Its been registered in Shinglehouse, PA since new. I had it shipped to my local CarMax and had my Indy do a PPI/overrev report/paint meter. It passed with flying colors and I purchased the vehicle. By chance, does anyone recognize or know its history? Thanks in advance. Greg

Default Check nav

Check the nav system for “home” or “work” address. That’s how I tracked down the previous owner of the Boxster S I bought through CarMax. They hadn’t erased the files/data.

And the phone. My 2013 Boxster S still had the original owners phone number. I did not call him since the car came with numerous service records.

No luck with the Nav or Phone. Had a Major Service with Chapman Autowerks in Sterling VA. Now I'll give her some love with paint correction and Jescar Power Lock sealant.

this might be a long shot...what if you run a carfax and at least find out where it was previously registered and what dealers it was serviced at .... if you are a PCA member place an ad that you seeking the ownership/maintenance history of the car and provide the VIN ... I did that previously to track down a car I once owned and the current owner reached out me

Seems like CarMax could at least pass along your info to whoever they got the car from. Picked up a 12K mi. Spyder a year ago and love it more every day. Took my 16 year old Havanese out for a ride yesterday in her custom-made car seat. She is also very partial to the Spyder.
Have you tried inquiring at the most likely suspects for a Selling Dealer? I contacted the Service Depts. where my car had been and got the complete service history.

also, if you're interested, just finished up working with Eric at the Radiator Grill Store on prototyping grills for Spyder and he is now producing them.

I have a 12 year old Havanese who loves my ‘05 Boxster S. I’m curious about your custom car seat for your dog. Care to share?

Ready to go! Leash is tied to seat belt. With the seat in it's highest position she can see over the dash which makes her happy.

Made from 3 pieces of 2" pink insulating foam and a 1" piece of upholstery foam on top. Black cloth glued on.

Since it was probably serviced close by, try calling the nearest Porsche dealership(s) to Shinglehouse. Give them your VIN and ask if there are any recalls on it.
Maybe you can schmooze them into giving you some details about it if it's in their system.

That's awesome. My pug would never go for it though. He'd want to climb in my lap or jump out the window if he smelled something good to eat outside. Yes, pugs are that motivated. So he only gets to sit in the back of my BMW wagon...
