I bought my Spyder used and it came with the “sofas”. I have to say that they are a wonderful seat, very comfortable and very easy to get in and out of.

Compared to my .2 GT3RS carbon buckets they are a dream as far as entry and exit. I can say that after an hour or so in the RS and coming home and Then going out for the evening with my wife in the Spyder it’s wonderful just to be able to slide into a very comfortable bucket seat without having to parachute in and use a grappling hook to climb out.

For the street and any spirited driving you may do on the street the adjustable sport bucket seats are more than adequate to hold you in place comfortably and firmly. They are also fine for the occasional DE. No issues.

In fact, the adjustable sport seats are very similar to the Recaro seats in my Boss Leguna Seca. They are great DE seats.

Boss Recaro.

Of course if you want real support you can go full race seat. 😎

to be fair, the buckets in the 987.2 Spyders are much more comfortable than the buckets in the 991/981 cars. I put 10k on my 991.2 GT3 and the buckets in the Spyder feel so much softer...

Did someone mention full race seat? Had I known how comfortable these are on the street I would have spec’d buckets when I ordered my 981 Spyder. At least up to an hour in them, my longest drive so far, has been fine.

My wife and I have done back to back 9 hour drives in the 987.2 Spyder buckets. No issues on comfort. I am 5’9” and 205 lbs, hardly in amazing shape. If you don’t have a bad back, I would go for the carbon buckets.

I got the buckets specifically for my bad back. Zero issues. Getting in is “fun” but not bad..I just have to be deliberate about it. Much easier when the top is off. Once in, it’s a glove. Getting out is easier assuming there isn’t a car next to me. Wouldn’t have it any other way. 6’-1ish” , 205ish

Sharp looking Spyder!!! The black wheels look really good with guards red and the red dials are bad ***!! Makes my white paint / black dials / silver wheels seem boring! Haha

Two things:
1) BAT generates crazy prices
2) I think this shows pretty well that manuals bring the money moreso than buckets. Obviously low miles, mint condition, buckets and manual is the best combo.

Wow - I never saw that red one. I would have bought it on principal. Seriously. Right down the street from me as well. Complete steal!

That red one had lots of upgrades, looks like someone had all the stitching done after the fact which is $$$$$! That is a great price even considering the mileage.

Really a huge mashup of owner inspired “upgrades”. Painted wheels, surrounds, and just not sure the alcantera door pulls look quite right. Likely well below market for a reason...or owner just didn’t care.

No doubt some funkiness, but under $40K... w/buckets and headers/etc. would have been too hard to pass up.
