Similar situation a few months ago - dealer had one in CA they put on BAT and it sold for $10K more than the dealer was asking. Could be one of those situations. Bet a cash offer of $43K would get it done....

First I’ve heard of it, the number seems low.

Seems low to me, too. I remember hearing that many dealers spec'd PDK cars, but I never imagined the ratio to be roughly 3 PDK cars to every 1 MT car as this ad indicates.
If it IS accurate, then even more reason for you guys with MT Spyders to hug your cars ever tighter and never let go!

I contacted the seller to ask where the information came from, I will report back if I get a reply.

Question regarding the values on 987 Spyders. When I look at sales history on BaT and other listings, a minimum price of $45k appears to be what it takes to get into one of these. And that’s higher mileage, PDK, etc. We’ve seen them go $60k+ w/ low mileage & right options.
Here’s my question. I’m in the market to buy one and when I price them out on say KBB, the “retail” price comes back $40-43k. Do you think that sites such as these can’t truly value cars like this given the low transaction volume?
Just want to make sure I’m not completely in left field paying $50k+ here.
Thanks

KBB has been wrong for years and it creates two issues, insurance companies and banks place lower values across the board.

I drove that red spyder back in March. They've been sitting on it for a long time and if I remember correctly, initially had it listed at $55k, so dropped the price substantially. I ended up buying a 981 spyder, but the red one seemed nice enough for a 55k mile example. I think it was missing a dash button, but nothing major.

What’s everyone’s opinion on the market value of the 987 Spyders given the 718 Spyder appears to be in its way? Do you think that will drive the 987’s down as the 981’s potentially become cheaper as people trade up?
Or do you think the 987’s are different enough in their own right to not be affected?
