@daylorb Please see the attached order guide photos for Spyder options.

One thing is clear; regardless of options cars with LWBS bring a premium. Last fall I inquired about a 4000 mile example with a $103k build sheet that ultimately sold at a Porsche dealer for $59k...no buckets. I was interested, but the communication with the dealer was not award winning and I elected not to fly out for a look.

With that being said the near $50k price for this car shows it’s a strong market. Prices are all over the place though.

Very cool - thanks for sharing. Having bought used, I never saw this! Agree on the buckets - would like to add them to mine but they keep going up in price as well!

What does the seller pay BAT to auction a car through their service?

BTW, I believe the premium for the Lt Wt buckets, and manual trans has got to be over $10K more than an equally optioned PDK/sofa version... Thoughts?

Manual with Buckets seem to hover around the low 60’s so yes there’s a differential but condition and other options also play a role and 987 Spyders are getting old enough that some are truly in rough condition.

I think that ratio was 100/0.

Edit: Oops. Gotta pay closer attention to those emojis.

Does anyone know how many of the 891 987 Spyders were manuals and out of those with carbon buckets?

Thanks

I think you are right, perhaps a little high. Lt Wt Buckets are going to be $8K used right now unless you can find a smoking deal. Sofa's maybe $1K, so there should be around $7K there. Manual is just to taste. I prefer PDK but I know that isn't the norm.

I don’t think anyone has been able to find hard data to confirm the exact numbers unfortunately. Only anecdotal but when I was searching for my Spyder when they were still being produced I noted at least half of them were ordered with the sport seats and a large percentage with PDK. So if I had to guess, out of the 891 45% (400) are manual and out of that group another 50% have the LWB’s (200). I would bet at least 15% of those are in rough shape and some are altogether gone.
