Default Padding behind driver's seat?

Does anyone put padding back there? It isn't required but suggested in the CR Rules, just wondering if it's used and where you can get it.

My seat is dated 1/2015 I believe, hard to tell as the sticker looks like they dragged the seat down the road on it... but I don't see the age of the seat mentioned in the CR Rules regarding the seat back brace/foam..

"17. There are two exceptions to the seat back brace requirement:
A. If the seat is within 3” of the firewall, a seat back brace is not required but the area between the seat and firewall should be padded with high density foam. At a minimum, all roll cage bars which the seat could contact if it or the mount fails must have approved roll bar padding, but 30 square inches of padding to prevent concentrated loads from tubes is recommended.
B. A seat back brace is not required in cars whose seat and mounting system comply with the requirements of Appendix I."

There is an over arching comment somewhere in there that says newer than 5 years no need to do it

My SPB has passed tech a handful of times now with no padding an after every time I got out I usually get pulled into tech for compliance checking

Racetech started making a really cool seat that actually ties into the roll bar. I might go that way for the next car.

I have it in my car. Just roll bar padding on the the bar behind the seat. I raced the car without it for 18 months, going through many inspections and then one day was told it needed some padding. Next race, the same deal so I added it. My seat is about 1.5 inches off the firewall

I used flat 1" thick SFI foam like this:
