Mid Ohio PCA Club Race May 13-15 SPB Challenge

Hopefully it works out for you next year and you can make Sebring to. Two weekends of racing that you would love, that I am sure of. Maybe next year In the SPC's!
I am going to definitely try to make the Mid-O as it sounds like a good weekend. Is there a T&T the day before or a DE the day before does anybody know? That would definitely be an influencer for me.

Maybe I will see you their Chuck and we can catch up.

Call Mid-Ohio to pre register (Open Testing & Tuning - Race Cars - May 12 Twilight (Closed Wheel Only))
http://www.midohio.com/School/Course...-Tune-Sessions
The Club is hopeful for a good Club Race turn out given the Spring date.
The Advanced Friday HPDE is almost full and weekend Instructed HPDE is wait-listing now.
This is also a 944 Cup event.

Just saw the schedule for this event on the other thread. Sprint 2 on Sunday is a deal breaker for me as I have to be home Sunday night (not late) and trying to run a race Sunday morning and then load up and get home is very tight.
Bummer. Was looking forward to it.

Sucks.

If anyone needs to transport their car (from Atlanta) we have room on the trailer. Also can do prep/trackside support if needed. Then you can do the fly in/fly out routine and make the Sunday race at Mid Ohio.
SPB schedule, for logistics:
Road Atlanta PCA
NJ (12hrs SCCA) 4/23
Mid Ohio PCA
Watkins Glen PCA
VIR PCA

According to Kevin Hennessy (club.race@morpca.org), the co-chair of the MORPCA Club Race, the national points sprint race will be held on Sunday...not Saturday, as is standard PCA procedure. He says the race is being moved to accommodate the DE drivers, without whom, the weekend would not be financially possible.
"I do not see that changing as of now, as the HPDE is sold out and hosting an HPDE dictated the spread of Club Race schedule over 3-days," said Hennessy. "If the change in date does bring back the Racers to Mid-Ohio and we can keep a May date in 2017, we can revisit this schedule approach, but for 2016, after years of declining racers (and entry fees) attending Mid-Ohio CR (and the club in the red on the CR) we had to change up the approach in 2016."

MORPCA guys are good folks and I'm sure details of the finances involved are complex. It MAKES SENSE that they need to attract club racers.
However, Im confused: Is currently formatted schedule serving to DETER club racers....!!?? Perhaps better to consider scheduling for RACERS if the goal is to ATTRACT them?
Im registered all three days in the advanced DE and my impression was I'd be getting less track time on Saturday, make up for that on Sunday after the enduro. Every other event where I have done a DE with a club race including NASA events that has been the accepted format.

Not to sound ungrateful, but based on earlier assurances that the schedule was set in stone and couldn't be changed, some of us changed hotel and flight plans (at considerable expense). Now things are changing again...a day after registration opens?
This could all be avoided if organizers would PUBLISH A SCHEDULE BEFORE REGISTRATION BEGINS so we can make appropriate travel plans.
