Can of worms - what are the engine rules? Plus T3, etc.

I still don't understand how you can weld the cage to the shock tower (which requires welding a plate to it to have something strong enough to weld a tube to) without that being a "Shock tower modification"???

I haven't figured that one out either but since mine isn't attached, I don't worry about it.

If they are thinking along the lines of modifying shock mount location or adding a strut brace they should clarify the rule. Welding the cage to the reinforced towers, IMHO, would have a greater stiffening effect that bolting on a strut brace..

there are 2 horizontal factory braces already there...1 in front of the fuel tank and one behind...don't think attaching the cage there does much for frame/body stiffening there....just sayin..

In 2008 we had the car in ITC for regional events (SFRegion) I'll have to see if there are any T3 cars running in CalClub.
My issue with SCCA weekends (on the West Coast?) zero track time compared to PCA/POC/NASA. The events are literally packed.. and you *might get 3-4laps each session before a caution occurs.. It's bad LOL
SCCA was totally open to a SPB class.. it all comes down to car count!! (I helped get the Boxster into Eprod with another friend)
