Default AIM MXL2 mounting ideas

Can anyone suggest the best method to mount an AIM MXL2 to the steering column/in front of the dash? Pics would help.

Thanks in advance. I have a 99

Not an MXL2, but an MXS(same mounting pattern).

Default Mounting MXL 2

I do similar to the above mount except leave the bottom open so you could remove the mount without removing wheel hub.

The above setup will slide over the Krontec male hub.

Are you guys pulling any ecu data from our cars via obd?

What are you doing for throttle position?

Wheel speed?

I know RPM worked(but way too slow to refresh to be useful), engine coolant temp didn't work, not sure about anything else. The refresh rate is so slow the only thing that would be any good would be temps.

The OBD is really poor for P cars before 2002. You can get RPM from the tach wire, you can tap into TPS to get the voltage signal then calibrate at zero and full throttle, water temp shoukd be ok from OBD, speed is from GPS. I have sensors and jumpers in stock and fooer a RL discount on AIM products

Anyone have any advice on best/easiest place to pickup water temp and water pressure? ODB2 port isn't sending me water temps.

Which car are you working with? Looks like Boxster. You can tap into the blue/red wire in the blue connector. Use the white wire from the AIM jumper and monitor voltage. You will need to build a custom sensor. Not sure there is a water pressure sensor

Boxster/SPB, I'm talking about sensor placement. I'm thinking of doing them in one of those inline water pipe adapters, but was wondering if there's an easier way to do it on a Boxster(the sensors are 1/8" NPT FWIW).
