Rennline pedal install - now hard to press
I installed a rennline gas pedal mount system on a non E-gas car and since it's a race car didn't include the cruise control cable. Now the pedal is very hard to press down. I've taken everything apart twice to check for any binding and nothing. I have also verified that the throttle body is at 0% and 100% respectively when the pedal is not pressed and pressed fully.
Has anyone had similar issues either installing an aftermarket pedal or deleting the cruise control cable?
I am wondering if the cruise control cable acted as a "helper" and had a spring attached to it.
Did non-cruise control optioned cars have a different throttle body spring?
Any help is appreciated.

I removed the cruise control on mine when installing the rennline pedal and had no issues. I found I had to trim the length of the hard plastic tube that the throttle cable runs through. Don't know if that would make a difference.

Thanks for the reply, Dave. I think I know where the issue is...I think the cable slipped off the wheel in the plastic 90 degree junction box in the engine bay before the cable goes inside the car. Have not had time to verify this but that is my hunch after looking at some diagrams.
