After a couple years of of scratching the Cup car itch, I’ve returned to the platform I prefer for track days and hopefully some spec class racing. This car is a Vali build. I did a test session at Sebring yesterday, and all it needs is a Numeroc shift kit upgrade. The factory shifter is too sloppy to allow predictable shifting.
What organizations run the best attended Spec Boxster races? PCA being one of the best, I presume? David Tuaty facilitated my purchase of this car. He owns FARA, and said my car would slot into the GT-4 category in his group. I’ll probably run an event with them to try it out.
It’s always nice catching up with you Rich. I look forward to many more track meetups. The Cup did indeed sell. I will do a few track days in the SB then maybe start SB racing, possibly with 48 Hours being the first such event.
as someone who is pretty poor at race starts and drops back into the clutches of the SPB mafia in the first turn, I can attest to the size and quality of the SPB fields in east coast PCA club racing.
