Hi Rennlisters,

I'm looking to get a bucket seat for my 986 Boxster. Vehicle is dual use for street and PCA HPDE. I need the vehicle to be able to drive on the street so I can get from home to the track, and back.

Could anyone provide me with some guidance on which seats can fit into the Boxster without any issues? For reference, I'm 5'7. I went to try the Recaro Profi SPG XL and the fit was great, but I'm unsure if it will fit into the car properly. The Sparco Evo XL also worked and I think it is a bit shorter than the Recaro Profi SPG XL. Any other options/brand I should consider? Any of the "regular" sized seats will be uncomfortable in 5 minutes as I don't weight 110lbs.

Hey @bcrdukes I know 986 Boxster owners run the RECARO Pole Position no problem in their cars, and the Profi XL is only 1.6 in wider at the bottom cushion and 2.5 in taller, the max widths are the same. I managed to stuff a Sparco Pilot into my car and had the cage built around it. It's the largest seat on the market and has a halo, so, in theory, anything will fit in the car...

Evo XL bolted right in using the brey kraus rail adapters and the sparco or B-k FIA sliders on my spb.
