Roll Cage Kit?

I think most are custom built by a shop. Recommend a shop w/ experience doing race car roll cages and make sure you review the rules on tubing thickness and bracing. Also consider the bar location behind the seat if you plan on running a seatback brace. Going through to the front strut towers seems to be optional, I see as many cars with it as without it, but it's probably better. You want an X-door bar design instead of a NASCAR door bar design I think that the X-door bar is favored now as it's considered more safe/strong. You will want to pre-cut out your doors so they are not in the way of the cage I know mine protrudes into the inside of the door somewhat.

Safety Devices make a bolt-in one but I think it's more appropriate for DE than racing and it doesn't allow for all the custom touches & fitment needed in a Boxster, especially if you're tall. If you're going all in building a SPB then I think a custom cage is a necessary expense but definitely safer than a bolt-in. Where are you located?

Contact Vali Motorsports - they might be willing to sell you a cage kit. Their cage is second to none/porsche factory quality. I have seen some Vali boxsters in some crazy wrecks where other shops cages failed, and the vali cage was still good.

Check with Mark at Kirk Racing http://www.kirkracing.com/
Mark built my SPB cage and just did another SPB cage last month. He sells many cages as kits, not sure if he's set up an SPB kit, but it's worth a try.
