Default rear reinforcement bracket

Hi there, we purchased a previous SBP car with an upgraded 3.6 engine. We are planning to run it in Lucky Dog endurance racing, they require a rear tow hook. This car was lacking the rear reinforcement bracket for the tow hook, we added the bracket for the tow hook. Here comes the question.
Is there a reason why the reinforcement bracket is removed for SBP?
thank you for your help.

The bracket for the screw in tow hook is part of the rear bumper crash bar (under the bumper cover) which some people chose to remove for racing to get rid of weight at either end of the car. The bumpers (crash bars) can be removed from under the bumper cover w/o any cosmetic change.

thank you for your reply, my concern was the rear suspension dynamics by adding it after being removed.

lets make sure we are talking about the same thing. Nick is talking about the bar that goes from side to side and bolts to the end of the frame rails under the bumper. Are you referring to part of the rear suspension? Pics maybe helpful.

yes, I am talking about that part. I guess it doesn't interfere by stiffening the rear of the car.
