FS: New-in-Crate 1999 2.5L Motor for SPB, 1997/8/99 Boxsters, zero hours
all!
For sale is a brand new factory Porsche crate motor, complete, for the 1997,98,99 Boxster.
We bought this back in early 2020 just to have as a spare. Its still sitting in the crate, never installed, never run, zero hours.
its a complete motor, not just the block.
They are, based on our understanding, brutally hard to find if at all. THis right now is probably the only factory fresh motor in a crate in the US.
if interested, PM me. Price is going to be $10k. We did get our core charge back. and you can still keep your core since we dont need it.
my email is steve at fixtrading dot com

Hey Steve,
Just a question...
What does Porsche consider to be a 'complete' motor?
Long block + intake + pulleys + accessories + headers?
Or just a block w/ heads?
I'm discussing purchase of a spare engine. The seller says it's a 'complete' motor. It's a long block without pulleys, accessories, nor intake, so I'm trying to gauge if he's correct in his terminology.

I just sold a 2001 Boxster ENGINE. To save the buyer some money It was not ready to "drop in"
Assuming the buyer has a internal issue with his engine & most of the accessories are good you just put the engines side by side & install the best accessories on the "New" engine.
