Default NJMP or Summit?

Looking at the two races coming up, I can likely do one, not both. I did Summit for the first time 2 years ago, I had a great time and liked the track. So, is there a compelling reason to skip Summit and try NJMP this year? NJMP is a longer tow from B'ham.

Same cast of characters at both, NJ is hotter and has bigger bugs. Both are a great time

Give it time. NJMP usually has a large SPB showing. Last year maybe 25. In 2019 they had enough signed up that PCA gave the SPBs their own dedicated run group.

As for a difference between the experience at each track- a question- what cars do you prefer running with? At NJMP, SPBs will usually run with SP2 and SP3s, with a split start. However, Summit offers a dedicated vintage run group, which makes PCA cram more classes together. Last year the SPBs were in a large group (nearly 50 cars on a 2 mile track) that included SPC, SP996, and G, H, I, J, K classes, which include Cayman variants and 911s. With that in mind, NJMP will offer a longer track, that is less crowded, and you will spend less time looking in your mirrors. PCA Club Race website has archives to show results from the last few years and you can see classes in each run group. That will give you an idea of what run groups have been, and give you an idea of what you would see at the event.

I will be signing up, just haven't yet.

In recent years NJMP has had 3 sprints, while Summit only has 2 for non-vintage classes.

Looks like Summit wins, only because my work schedule was just changed and I cannot make NJMP, so not even a choice now.
