Default ECU flash - now legal

At the NOLA race there were a few people discussing the euro flash and potential power gains. Looks like the flash is now legal, but PCA rule announcement states that there is no gain in power. Anyone know if this is true? Where dynos done to compare?

----------
SPB
Any of the Porsche flashes, including European or other country flashes, for any SPB eligible model may be used. In terms of performance, all the factory flashes are equal. The differences relate to emissions or other matters, and the European flashes throw fewer codes because they had fewer emission control devices. Fewer codes makes using the OBD system less cumbersome.

PCA sampled data to compare.

I have verified this. There is no change in how the engine runs.

If there is no change and the US flash is readily available then why allow a Euro flash ?

So there were dyno runs to look at power output?

The euro flash will keep the ECU from throwing codes when there is an issue with the secondary O2 sensors. However, if you just tie them out of the way you won't get a CEL.
