Default Picking off measurements from OBDII

I was wondering if in the SPBs we can pick off Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Water Temp, Tranny Temp off the OBDII?

Let me clarify -- what I am after is physically splicing a wire and routing that to my Traqmate as a digital or analog input.

I'd prefer to send the to my Traqmate data logger and TD rather than add a bunch of gauges and new senders (unless I have to)

thanks,

Mike

I do not believe any of the data you mention is available on the OBDII of the boxster.

You can get some, not sure about all of what he is looking for from the OBDII. I have a KIWI bluetooth obdII device and even with a free app I can get RPM, water temp, air intake temp, etc. I have not upgraded to the paid app to see that all is available.

The sensor wires themselves go to the DME in the trunk. If you could find the voltage parameters, you could easily tap into the wires and get that information. Looking at the wiring diagram, I can see inputs for oil temp, oil pressure, air intake temp, water temp, engine bay temp, etc.

I think that these can be pulled of a K line CAN tap

Traqmate is fairly limited, can't read CAN data as far as I know. I have a Traqmate, and am pulling rpm off the tach signal, and throttle position off the TPS signal. For brake pressure I installed an AEM 2000 psi brake pressure sensor and Bodymotion BMR1001 adapter.

Wired up my traqmate today --

Where do you find the TPS signal?

do you have a link to the Bodymotion BMR1001 adapter.

Searching did not provide an answer.

Is there a steering angle sensor tap off?

thx,

mike

No steering angle from OBD.

Throttle position is off throttle body; Have to splice in. We make a throttle position cable for AIM.

And we make a brake pressure adapter line for most sensors.

If I recall you can get water temp / oil pressure off the OBD but it’s low frequency.
