Default SOLD FS: Bilstein PSS9 Coilover kit for 997.1/997.2 Carrera/S/GTS w/only 25,000 miles

Category: Steering & Suspension
Price (no $ sign please): $1150
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (select ONLY those which apply): 997
Location (Region): SoCAl
Item Condition: Used

I want these things gone! $1150 Shipped to you

I'm converting my 2005 997 Carrera back to stock, and am selling the few aftermarket items that were on the car.

This is a set of Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers, part # 48-115575. The car itself only has 25,000 miles on it, and is in near perfect condition, so it would be safe to say these parts were definitely not abused. It was ALWAYS parked inside every night, and has been a California car its entire life (11 years old, 25,000 miles, so clearly never driven in bad weather).

I will snap some pics of the actual parts ASAP, and post them as follow up messages.

The price is $1250 including shipping anywhere in the lower 48 states. The lowest i could find online was $2600, and while this set isn't new it has very little mileage on it and should last a long time to come.

According to Bilstein these will fit 2005-2011 Carrera, 2005-2011 Carrera S, and 2011-2012 Carrera GTS.

This is for cars without PASM... This is part #'s F4-GM5-B557-H0, F4-GM5-B557-H1, F4-GM5-B557-H3, F4-GM5-B557-H4, now known as a single part # 48-115575.

The "Damptronic" kit looks to be the PSS9 kit that supports PASM.

This is what Bilstein has to say about the PSS9 kit;

The engineers at BILSTEIN have created the ultimate race inspired suspension—the BILSTEIN B16 (PSS9/PSS10). This innovative suspension system delivers unsurpassed driving performance.

The manually adjustable damping monotube gas shock absorbers feature 9 or 10-stage precise compression and rebound settings, from comfort to competition. The threaded body allows accurate adjustability of the front and rear progressive rate springs to achieve the vehicle ride height, center of gravity and level of performance handling desired.

The BILSTEIN B16 (PSS9/PSS10) system puts you in complete control, providing the kind of precise suspension tuning formerly available only on racecars. From a weekend of competition to daily driving, this system provides perfect handling performance for every situation.
Features and Benefits:

* Individual settings ranging from maximum Comfort to aggressive Sport can be selected by the twist of a dial - 9 on B16 (PSS9), 10 on B16 (PSS10)
* Threaded body adjustable range of 20 mm at both axles
* Lowering of approx. 30-50 mm at front and rear
* Road-tested and fine-tuned by BILSTEIN ride engineers, under extreme motorsports conditions
* Spring plates and lock nuts made from a special aluminum alloy
* Surface coating using Triple-C-Technology®for long-lasting corrosion resistance
* Round threads for easy adjustment
* Quality sport springs made from highly durable material
* Gas pressure technology
* BILSTEIN monotube technology, made in Germany

I dont know much about PSS10. But I imagine yes there is. Though I'm not sure they make the PSS10 kit for 997's. If you go to Tire Rack or any other site like vivid racing they don't show a PSS10 kit available.

I just looked, and it seems like the PSS10 kits run $4000 or so, darn pricey IMO, I can't imagine them being that much better than the PSS9.

Have the PSS9 on my 997.2 non-S. This system works in conjunction with cars without PASM. So far i'm pleased with the system as it provides for more flexibility in setting up the suspension for different applications which is good if you're think of DE's.

1 extra click (10 vs 9) and the clicks are more defined.

Not sure there are other differences.

"will these fit a 986?"

Thats probably a good question for Bilstein or the googles.. I am 100% sure they will fit 2005-2011 Carrera, 2005-2011 Carrera S, and 2011-2012 Carrera GTS
