Default KA Motorsport - Buyer Beware

Category: Exterior - Body Parts
Price (no $ sign please): $560
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (select ONLY those which apply): 996, 997, Race Car
Location (Region): SouthEast
Item Condition: Brand New

Buyer beware of the vendor KA Motorsport in Pompano Beach, FL.

I ordered 996 cup vented windows back in March and never received them or a tracking number. After waiting more than a month and requesting shipping status multiple times; I requested a refund for $560 since this was delaying my racing season.

I tried contacting them several times over the last couple months and they either don't respond or state that the refund will be sent back. It's now almost June and I still don't have the money back and never received the windows.

I am sure that you are aware that if you paid by CC or Paypal you can start the refund process without the seller. Not trying to be a smarta$$ by posting this. These guys are pretty good about protecting you these days though it is still a PITA because you lose time.

They made me pay by check (or bank wire) so I can't go the charge back route. I would never do a check with private seller and trusted the vendor status here.

sorry to hear this, I was going to buy wide body rsr parts from them possibly in the future... NO way now. Hope works out for you.

Post on the 997 and 991 gt3 forums as that's where KA most active about your experience...this would get their attention.

Good luck at resolution

Thanks for the support. I still haven't received a refund and now I've purchased the windows twice from another vendor. Hopefully we can get some support from the admins..

Default my experience

Not saying your experience wasn't bad, but I have ordered successfully from KA Motorsports, using a credit card without issue multiple times, and my parts arrived on time and in good condition. Never an issue.

Sorry to hear your experience wasn't the same.

Default BBB

Would send a complaint through BBB as well; I always check there before I buy.

Yes, BBB complaint was filed over a month ago and KA ignored that as well. It's sad to see a vendor ripping off a Rennlist member with no consequence. I won't be renewing my membership..

Update from the Better Business Bureau regarding the scumbags at KA Motorsports that stole $560 from me:

I have reached out to the business and they seem not to want to resolve this dispute. We encourage consumers to explore all their options in resolving their disputes the following are state agencies that you might want to contact in the meantime: Federal Trade Commission and
Office of Florida Attorney General

That's too bad, it is theft non the less maybe you can file an online police report for their City.

At least you should put some buyer beware commentary in your signature.

I find this very hard to believe. Marius runs a very tight ship and has been very helpful to me. Try him at 305-877-8498. I bet you will get the issue solved quickly.

If you paid by check/bankwire you can still dispute. If you paid by check it's easier but you still have that option contact your bank.

- Used to work for a bank and have done that process for customers before.

He's the one that I talked to over the phone. I've sent him several emails, submitted contact form multiple times, even the BBB didn't have any luck getting the money back. He's great at the bait and switch with multiple excuses. I even got the "Sorry, my secretary is new and forgot to send the check out"

Just called the fraud division and no protection once the intended party cashes the check. If somebody else cashes it, then you have protection
