Default Selling my 1979

After 23 years of ownership, it's time for another to enjoy. After completing an extensive refresh in 2009, she has been a reliable joy. Thanks to the support from the 928 community here and the great 928 vendors.

Just wondering if you considered posting this via BringaTrailer or CarsandBids? I purchased mine from EBAY 19 years ago as a running example, without AC or refreshes and eBay seemed appropriate for that condition. I assumed the mentioned auction portals might present a refreshed car to more discriminating buyers. Please keep us up to date on how this sale completes.

Hupp,This car is in above average condition and I suggest you should remove it from E bay and post on BaT,
it will cost you 99.00 to sell it .
Warning Please remove the key pictures from your listing as they can be duplicated from the pictures you posted.
Goodluck with the sale !

BaT typically expects lots more photos, which will work in your benefit. Also, more details about the upgrades you’ve performed, either a timeline, or dates/mileage. There are discriminating buyers who look for this type information.
Mine, similarly refreshed/upgraded will also go on BaT in a few months, after getting many photos correct. It’s typically worth the trouble.
And I can likely sympathize that with cars this refreshed. It’s hard to cut loose, but that time comes.

Thanks for the input and advice guys. I considered BaT; however, a close relative of mine has been moving Porsche cars and parts online for years with good results. He preferred Ebay for various reasons, so that's what we went with. There is a reserve and we'll see how it goes.

I've been buying / selling on ebay since the 90's. It's not what it used to be. I have little doubt most of these would have gone for more money on BAT

I predict that your reserve will not be met,
and that you stand a possibility to double it on BaT.

NOTE see this listing.
I couldnt sell this car for 19,500 (my reserve on Ebay.)

The selling price on BaT was over double my E bay reserve.
Your car is in above average condition,
and should bring a commensurate selling price.

That is a really nice looking shark. I love the color, no rub strips, no sunroof, H4s, great looking wheels and also phone dials included. . . I agree it should be on BaT.

Wow! Beautiful Car!
Good luck w the sale.

Random question. How did the car respond to the 85/86 manifolds and the exhaust mods?
Thx!

The difference is mainly exhaust note, sounds vicious. Really nothing too noticeable in performance.
