I’m looking to purchase my first 911 and came across a 2026 911 4S that’s pretty well loaded. The dealer is offering it to me at about $5K under MSRP. I’ve attached the window sticker and a picture of the car.
One thing I noticed on the sticker—it lists both “Wheels painted in Jet Black Metallic” ($1,340) and “Carrera Exclusive Design Wheels” ($2,720). But from what I can see in the photo, the wheels don’t really look like they’re painted in Jet Black Metallic… unless I’m missing something. Has anyone seen this before or know if that’s expected?
Also, would appreciate any feedback on the overall options on the car. And does $5K under MSRP sound like a solid deal for a 4S right now?
Just go on the configurator online and choose those two options. You'll see how the two get combined. It's the inner lip and barrel that gets painted black.
I think this car has a lot of options I wouldn’t pick which would save me $10,000 before asking for a discount (aero kit, front axle lift, Porsche design clock). But if you want all of those options, maybe $5,000 isn’t a bad discount? Also, I was in Palm Springs recently and saw a 1970s 911 coupe in that colour and it looked fabulous - but make sure you like it on the current generation. It certainly isn’t a typical colour. Good Luck. 😉
One of the benefits of a new 911 is the ability to completely customize the car to your liking. If it were me, given you are talking about a 2026 model, I would probably pass on this, then obtain a MY2027 allocation.
That looks like a good spec, and a $5K discount is good.
I would suggest you go to the U.S. Configurator and build a Carrera 4S exactly as you would want, then compare the two prices and options.
If this car has a lot of options you wouldn't select, or missing options you want, then I would pass on this car, get an allocation, then build your own custom car. You should be able to find a Carrera 4S allocation at MSRP.
For example, would you have selected the Aerokit in High Gloss Black on a custom build? If not, then this car, even with a $5k discount is more expensive than a custom ordered car.
A few other items:
-- Premium Package with Remote Park Assist ($6,040) vs. Premium Package ($5,590). I have the Remote Park Assist on my car, but is is worth the extra $450?
-- You are paying an extra $1,190 for Innodrive and Active Lane Keep. It might not be worth it.

Couple of problems the OP may have if they are planning to build one...
1) Finding a 4S allocation. Most dealers have already received their Q2/26 allocations, and the next round will be for MY27.
2) If they are able to find a MY26 4S allocation...the Aerokit option will not be available.
Thanks for all the feedbacks. The reason I liked this car because of the aero kit. Aero kit is a must option that I’m looking for. I tried to build the new S but aero kit is not available. You can only get an aero kit on a new GTS model or above. Some of the options I don’t care of but those are not too expensive options.
also, this color is very unique. Not everyone will like that color and maybe that’s why dealer is giving me 5k off of MSRP. I’m still debating on the color….

If Aero Kit is a must, I think you have two options:
1) buy this car
2) get an allocation for an MY2027 S and configure your own. This would probably be a July build, with delivery in the U.S. in August
Update: one additional option:
— get a Carrera 2 GTS allocation, get the Aerokit, and minimize the options. Given this is your first 911, it probably won’t be your last 911. You could build a low option car, enjoy it, and learn what features are important to you for you next 911.
Here is the build of a GTS with Aerokit and some key options for $206k, only $12k more than your current car: https://porsche-code.com/PT1E7JG4

I say go for it because it's rare to get any discounts off MSRP and comes with highly optioned rare specs like Aerokit, FAL, Matrix LED, Premium, and shade green metallic. Any pictures to share?

Interesting the car is listed as “pre-owned” with 44 months warranty left and only 38 miles on it. Did the dealership purchase this car themselves?
Looking at the Porsche Finder for New/used 2026 Carrera S (2S or 4S), there are only three available with the Aerokit (besides the one at which you are looking):
Transport of a car across the country might cost around $2,500
