Default This is how our cars are going to age....

200k km [125k mi] Carrera 4.

Poor and annoying translation but the review covers mechanical issues and cosmetic wear items at higher miles. Summary: these things are reliable tanks.

A 911 is not a fragile thing. You’ll do more harm by not driving it.

I have a friend with a 220k mi 991.2 4S.
My observation is that problems get blown out of proportion on the internet.
It's the first place people go when a problem arises, making problems a large percentage of the conversation and appearing bigger than they are.
Every sinngle 911 generation, including 996 and 991, is both excellent and imperfect simultaneously, but not in the same universe as Fiats and Astons.

Despite some known issues in previous generations (which car company doesnt have it?) I am still sleeping like a baby. Porsches are well built tanks.

Not a single car in the world is or will be trouble free.

Complaining about some quirks and flaws of a well used car is like complaining that your better half is not in a mood like 20 years ago. Yes you complain for sake of complaining but you still keep and cherish her.

Thats my view at it, after all, mine 911 is called Helga. She is full family member and if one day she starts complaining about headache and not in a mood, ill be prepared with a lot of attention to keep her spirit up. Just like a person.

Cost? Dont care, if I was thinking about cost and being rational, I would be using public transport in the first place.

I would put the problem another way. Which other sports car would you buy and keep for 10-20 years and trust it will be more reliable than a 911?
