Car activates Lane Keep without me touching the setting
I have a .2S that is about 4 months old. I turn off the LKA setting but sporadically the car decides to re-enable it. In my case, this can be exceedingly dangerous. I cross a bridge daily that is notorious and requires drivers to be able to drive into the lane next to you at a moments notice. The lanes are also very narrow with plastic “pins” separating oncoming traffic and the LKA can’t detect it properly. If the LKA is on, the car fights you and not only is it distracting in a tense situation, it can cause an accident. When I go into vehicle settings, the checkbox is back on even though I didn’t touch the control on the stalk or settings. Anyone else have problems with their LKA re-enabling on its own?
It automatically comes back on every time you turn the ignition on. Can be coded out as I have done on my TGT. LKA is incredibly dangerous and I have no idea why anyone thought it was a good idea. It was probably designed by the same idiot that designed start stop.
It does not on my car. I just started the car and it is still off. I would have noticed every day after 4 months of driving that it was resetting,

I haven’t used a 992.2 but on my 24 TGT it is on every time you start the car again. It was infuriating to the point I wanted to sell the car back to the dealership and get the previous gen car. Mars was able to code it out permanently and remove all remnants of the lousy system.
Try holding down the tiny LKA button on the bottom of the cruise control stalk. The LKA icon on the dash will turn grey. Seems to keep it off thru a restart or two at least, but I haven't tested it extensively as I use Innodrive all the time and find it works quite well. LKA without Innodrive/lane centering I had on a Cayenne sucked though - just bounced me between the lines constantly in cruise control.

I’m having the same issue, and it seems to have become more frequent after the dealer updated the software to fix the known backup camera issue on the .2. What did you end up doing to permanently disable LKA? TIA
If only. If only. If only this car (or any car built these days, honestly) that I paid for with my own money would save the previous settings that I set because I want it that way. Forever.
If only.
If you are an engineer, please explain to me why this is a thing on a car like this. REMEMBER THE OWNERS LAST SETTINGS. It's not that hard. Right?
LKA, Auto start/stop, all of it. Turn it off one time. That should be it. Done. But no.

In the EU, this stuff is probably required. Where I have a problem is when the company force-enables unwanted features in markets where they are not required. There is certainly no US law against retaining the LKA preference between drive cycles. There is also (now) no requirement to enable *** by default in the US, but you can bet Porsche will keep doing just that.
