Default Soul Sport Cats w/stock PSE?

Hello everyone,

I'm considering upgrading my (2024 Base Carrera) exhaust and/or cats. I don't know too much about this and it's difficult to tell the actual tone from Youtube videos. All I know is I would like a deeper exhaust note, but not too obnoxious. I also prefer the valved option.

- Would upgrading to just the Soul sport cats and keeping the stock PSE be pointless or would that still provide the tone I'm looking for? Has anyone done that here that could chime in?
- Skip the sport cats and just do the valved Soul Performance exhaust?
- Both?
- Soul vs Fabspeed?

What configurations do you guys run? What would you do different? Suggestions welcome.

Thank you,

C

I’d recommend a soul rear section and a cargraphics valve controller. I’d skip the cats unless you want it louder. The rear section changes the tone, the cats turn up the volume. The cargraphic also turns up the volume, but it’s not too crazy.

I hate the idea of a little controller. For some reason it just bugs me.

I don't know why everyone keeps recommending this when you can tune the exhaust valves to do what you want through the ECU. M-Engineering does this.

Doesn't tuning possibly void the warranty?

Because it puts your warranty in jeopardy.

Everything you do does. You don't think the controller wouldn't?

We can assist with valves using M-Coder or M-Tuner. Whether you want the PSE valve mod or you have deleted your exhaust valves entirely. I have yet to see someone run into a warranty issue after flashing back to stock using M-Tuner with their supplied Uninstall file. It is a byte for byte stock file with a verified CALID and CVN with no change in the flash counter.

As I read Porsche's warranty info, only if the claim is related to a modification. So yeah, if my exhaust valves fail, I expect Porsche to deny my claim. But they'd do the same if you installed a valve controller with a remote.

We sell a lot of the Soul sport cats with use of the stock exhaust. Definitely a noticeable difference over stock cats. Eventually people with pair it with an Akrapovic slip on or a Soul valved exhaust. Or both from the get go.

Changing cats alone won't change the tone / pitch of the exhaust, but they will increase the volume. Changing tone / pitch requires different geometry, etc, and no matter what you do it won't sound like a GT3, but you will get a lot more turbo-y noises and such. Like others have said, sports casts plus some mechanism to fully open the valves (via separate controller or m-tune) are a definitely a nice upgrade and my be all you want.

you can program the buttons to your home link buttons so you don’t need to use the little controller.

I started with Soul comp link pipes and M Eng tune hoping that I could save $4+ grand by forgoing the muffler. Made it way louder but after 1 week I realized it wasn’t quite right. Swapped out the PSE with the soul valved exhaust and it is money. Bitch to install but did it by myself on quick jacks. I highly recommend this combo if you can stomach the tune. Videos don’t do it justice at all. It is proper nasty with valves open and super tame closed.
