Default 2017 Porsche Cayenne Garage Door Opener

All of a sudden, the #1 garage door opener button in the overhead of my 2017 Cayenne has quit working after 7 years of use. This button has flawlessly opened the door to the bay that I park the Cayenne in for 7 years - so it gets used a lot. Buttons 2 and 3 still happily open doors 2 and 3. They are used rarely. The remote 'clicker' that came with the garage door opener still opens the door well - so the wireless receiver seems to be intact. I think my problem is with the button in the overhead of my Cayenne. Has anyone experienced this? Options? Ideas? Solutions?

Have you tried clearing the code on that button and then repairing the button?

"repairing", I should be more clear. Using the manual terminology:

- Delete programmed signals from the key (button)
- Assign garage door opener signal to the key (button)

Basically follow the manuals steps to reprogram the trouble key (button).

Cheers!

I cleared the codes ... just so you are aware, you have to clear all three of them .... reprogrammed all three, and all now works perfectly. For some unknown reason, door #1 had lost its code! Thanks for the suggestions and encouragement.

...and won't be the last time that for unknown reason a module on a car misbehaves.

Glad it worked out.

I had a similar thing happen to me a while back. I'd be driving along and then the hazard lights would flash a few times but nothing was obviously wrong, no error messages and car drove fine. Didn't notice anything out of the ordinary until I got home and realized the garage door opener (Homelink button) didn't work as usual. I cleared and reprogrammed as you did and all was well until the exact same thing happened a few weeks later. Rinse and repeat a few months later again then it never happened again.

This was about 3 years ago. Not sure if it was battery related as I replaced my battery a year after the first occurence and no issues since. I've heard weird things start happening when the battery gets old so may want to check if you might be on your original battery.
