Extended Warranty or not?
IHi!
I have 2021 992 911 Turbo S..
I am the only owner and it got driven
little over 2000 miles in 3yers and 6 months..t
Original factory warranty will end in 6-7month...
My question is.....
Should I buy extended warranty?? Or Not??
I will have 3rd year service tomorrow and since it got low miles they will just change the engine oil...

I will keep it at least 5 more years...and I believe that extended warranty only covers 2 extra years...

2021 TTS Cab - purchased new in December 2020 - currently 38,000 street only miles - needed warranty early on (first 5000miles):
-spoiler control unit & driver motor
-seat latches to access backseat needed replacement ($3400 in parts)
-leather door panel was replaced due to wrinkles
After those items it has been luckily / thankfully not needed

TT/TTS are pretty much bullet proof. You have 2k miles which is barely over recommended break-in miles 😀
I am just over 10k and not a single issue. A car with this level of performance surely should be unreliable except it isn’t. It’s always there and the harder you drive the better the car becomes.
Will there be some cars that require some repair yes but on average most don’t’ ever have any significant issues.
The chance of ever using the extended warranty is extremely low coupled with the very low miles you drive the car. Skip as others said.

I have 11000 miles on my 2022 and I was considering the same thing, buying a Fidelity extended warranty for the maximum amount of years, since I plan to keep the car till I die (I'm 63).
But I dragged my feet on this and may not do it at all. My 2012 Turbo S I had for 6 years, was 9 years old when I sold it to get this 2022, and it required practically nothing in repairs, as if it was a Camry. Same with this new car so far. Hope I don't regret this decision not to get the extended warranty.

if I am not mistaken
if your service is up to date
you can cpo the car and can do 2 plus one
which will give you 3 years of extra coverage , unlimited miles
the cost to dealer for two years is 3400 dollars
probably close to 5 k for the three years
I think it is worth it

I will likely be getting one on mine. My car has 48k km (32k miles) and has required a fair bit of expensive warranty work. My TT is my daily driver and is used throughout our relatively harsh Canadian winters, so it is quite the work horse. Based on the price I was quoted, the extended warranty seems worthwhile when comparing to the cost of the work that was done.

When I purchased my 2022 TTS new, I included in my purchase Porsche's "Vehicle Service Protection Plan" (Porsche's extended warranty).
It cost me $5,550.00 to extend the warranty to 8 years and 60,000 miles.
Since its a weekend car and it only gets driven about 6,000 - 7,000 per year max, I figured id gamble $5500 on an 8 year extended warranty.
So far, the car has been bullet proof and no warranty issues to date.
