Default Interior door handles

Does anyone have CAD files (or any other 3D scan) of the 997/987 interior driver and passenger door handles?

Tried searching the forum but nothing came up, but figured someone may have something out there.

Thanks!

You trying to to do something custom or need a replacement? Think I have a couple OEM ones but maybe only 1 side.

A little bit of both, but primarily trying to do something custom. Possibly steel or anodized aluminum

I was able to hunt down a passenger side one. Do you have a driver’s side I could purchase from you?

Thanks!

Just checked and the 2 I have a passenger side.too. weird. I guess the driver side ones get scratched up from rings and use and maybe people sell them in pairs.

That makes sense for why the driver side ones are harder to come by. Never thought about that.

Much appreciated for checking

Cypher sells these in all sorts of metals - might be worth reaching out.

Here

The cypher ones are beautiful and why I want to go down this path, but a bit out of my budget. Wanted to give it a go on my own and see if I could customize them a bit to my taste.

If it doesn’t work out, will be saving up for the Cyphers

Very cool! I think having that touch point as metal really elevates things

Which finish did you get?

What’s a metal ‘finish’ that’s not paint? Guessing there base is still plastic.

some kind of metal overlay like a cf overlay?

Anyway, I’m still pretty happy with my exterior body colored ones.

Perhaps I used the wrong word, but cypher has a variety of different options and I was wondering which he chose.

For your body paint matching ones did you paint them yourself or have them done somewhere? I am also considering that.

I was just reading their online site description and was wondering what they did exactly. I had mine done elsewhere. I have painted other interior bits and after changing colors multiple times I just didn't want the hassle anymore. I did mine as batch with other stuff (center console, hvac trim, door sills, cup holder trim, bucket seat pass throughs ...).

Ah got it! I’m not sure what cypher does. I was hoping to get a CAD file and work on getting it machined to have a solid metal version.

My car is Macademia Metallic on Cocoa, so it’s a lot of brown, and I kind of like having some gray or “metallic” pieces to break it up. But body colored is certainly on the option list (because as brown as it is, I love how it looks)

I'm not sure what they are either. When I bought them, I thought he was machining them from metal, but I think he does like a metal-like finish on the original handles. It's kind of hard to capture in pictures but looks different and very elegant in person.

Interesting. Do they have extra heft to them? Wonder how they bond the metal to the plastic without messing with tolerances

Those mats look great too
