Default Found a "new" Turbo S... with engine replacement...

Hello guys...

So In my search for a Turbo S I found one for sale, 24 Turbo S well optioned with 212 miles only! but with a carfax report of "lemon buy back"

The used car dealer is selling this car for about $15K off MSRP and they sent me all the info...

I proceeded to call the Porsche Dealership that sold the car...

Talked to the shop foreman, very nice guy he said he was very familiar with the car, the engine detonated on the first few miles and had to have the engine replaced with a completely new one, he said that the car was as new and shouldn't have any problems since it was fully tested and the car still has full manufacturer warranty.

So if I buy this car can it come bite me in the a$$ later? It seems reasonable to me... but am no expert as some in this forum are...

Let me know your thoughts!
Thanks
JC

Should be perfectly fine as it has a brand-new engine in it with full warranty.

I am betting the injectors had an issue and it ran lean?

It appears so, the engine grenaded in the first few miles hence the buy back... but wondering if this will affect resale in some way...

I refuse to pay over MSRP as I feel am paying a premium I will never get back down the road.

definitely don’t buy a car with a lemon title.

affecting re-sale is the biggest understatement ever.

no one will touch that thing with a ten foot pole
