Replacing the starter on a G50 is not bad and pretty conventional
Replacing the clutch on a G50 is conventional

Replacing the input shaft seal or the linkage seal on a G50 is conventional
Replacing oil on G50 is conventional
Very few people have ever had to do more than that. Mine has about 200K on it and no issues.

Shifting does not require any "babying", special "technique", or any other particular consideration. You can just focus on enjoying driving the car.

(In contrast, I had a '93 Mazda RX7 twin turbo that had "delicate" syncros. You had to always be especially conscious of slowing down any downshifting into 2nd or 3rd for that reason.)

sidetracked a bit here but did you see that laguna seca w/ cinnamon interior 2005 w/ slicktop e46 on BAT that went for about 111k ish? insanity

okay okay… Im calling shops around my area to figure out to get that replaced. I might also need an EFI diagnostics because on my drive last night- it kept hunting on idle ugly cry
Bushing kit replacement makes ALL the difference. Game changer. I found 2 different remnants of bushing parts when I replaced mine. Clearly a wear part. Hoping that my JWEST engineering bushing kit will last longer than the previous 2.

I cannot provide advice on this. I do all my own labour so I only know about parts prices.
