Default Battery Tender/Trickle Charger recommendation

Hey members, I have a 2012 Porsche 911991. I'm looking for your recommendation for battery tender or trickle charger whichever is required while I will be away for almost 4 weeks on a vacation. The car will be closed garage and there will be no one to monitor the car while I'm gone.
I have also read that battery tender just maintains the current status of the battery while the trickle charger also charges the battery at a lower speed but trickle charger needs monitoring as it can overcharge the battery, so I am also not sure which option out of battery tender versus trickle charger is right for me.

I appreciate your help in advance

There are two types of battery maintainer owners: Those who own a Ctek, and those that wished they did................

Ctek MXS 5.0. Order the cig adapter and the bumper as well. The NOCO Genius above does lithium as well and is also a great option.

The one Porsche sells is a rebranded CTEK almost identical to the MXS 5.0. You can't go wrong with it. There are certainly cheaper alternatives.

Thanks for the response. To use in the Cig adapter , it needs to be active while engine is off. Does 2012 911 keeps it active?

Socket go dead after 10-20 minutes.

But it doesn't matter. Current is going into the socket to juice the battery from the trickle charger.

I use Battery Tenders on every car I have unless they came with a branded CTEK charger, Like Ferrari and Maserati.

Do you connect via cigarette adapter for this? Didn't find anything from NOCO

You have to buy an adaptor, like this. Just double check that it is right adaptor.

Amazon.com: NOCO GC003 X-Connect 12V Dual-Size Male Plug Accessory Genius Smart Battery Chargers : Automotive Amazon.com: NOCO GC003 X-Connect 12V Dual-Size Male Plug Accessory Genius Smart Battery Chargers : Automotive

I hard wired mine to battery terminals, so it is easier to connect and no wires hanging out the window or door

Amazon.com: NOCO GC008 X-Connect M10 XL Eyelet Terminal Accessory Genius Smart Battery Chargers : Automotive Amazon.com: NOCO GC008 X-Connect M10 XL Eyelet Terminal Accessory Genius Smart Battery Chargers : Automotive

Pics of what I did is similar to this thread

Good luck.

Porsche nut my 2014 C2S cig socket in pass footwell does not go dead…. Ever. Arm rest cig socket does power down. Footwell does not. What you are repeating is a rennlist urban myth. Statement clam is for a 2014 C2S

Get the adapter to wire directly to the battery. Then no matter what the car system does, the battery will always be charged. It also avoids running charger cables into the car interior.

I use the Noco Genius with the X-connect cable attached directly to the battery terminals.

My set-up: CTEK MXS 5.0 + CTEK extension cable; connected directly to the battery using supplied eyelets or clamps.
