Gents: I am trying to rewire the wiring under my dash. I have an enlarged schematic. On the schematic I see numbered rectangles all arranged in neat rows, such as M48 or E15, or some with just numbers, such as 32 or41. I can read the wire colors, no problem and can follow the wire from the load to the source. But when I try to correlate, a 6 pin molex connector to the schematic, I get lost. Help, Please.😳 TIA😀

I found the decoder page, and it looks like a systematic way to do things, and pretty involved. I have 3 different salvage wiring harnesses, so I have plenty of spare parts. I have installed a new Porsche ROW harness in the front of the car..Unfortunately, it only has provision for 1 radiator fan instead of two and no A/C clutch wire. I have both of the rad fan leads from the old harness that were in good shape..one, two conductor and the other with 3. BTW does the two prong radiator fan switch care how the wires are hooked up? I don’t think so, but could stand some input/concurrence.😀TIA

I don't have an answer to your specific question about the fan switch.
It is involved, reading diagrams, tracing where wires go when they leave the sheet you are on!
1) This helped me some: Understanding Euro Wiring Diagrams (5pg PDF) By Karl Seyfert
2) This was a good video (youtube - 12 min) on 944 wiring diagrams:
3) This was very useful (53 pgs) and speaks to reading 928 diagrams, but learning to read the diagrams is applicable to 944 diagrams: Alan Moore Porsche 928 Electrics
This talks about how to navigate the grid system. It covers the connectors too. Should help some.

I have a copy of the Seyfert article and have reread it again. I watched Utube yesterday with the fellow pictured, but not this exact one. I also watched Van’s article there too. I have enlarged the schematics from the WSM to about 3ftlong X 2ft wide per page. This helps a lot for these tired old eyes. Sheet 2 of the diagrams is getting a good workout along with the decoder key sheet trying to get the two to correlate better. TIA😀
