997.2 C2S value
I'm looking at buying a 997.2 C2S PDK from 2012 with 44k miles, 3 owners in California. The car is a coupe meteor gray metallic color with black standard leather. Options include dynamic lights, heated/cooled seats, sports chrono, PSO and an upgraded PCM sound. Clean title with no accidents and no re-spray/re-paint; maintenance records available and comes with 2 keys. The owner is asking for $66k - which I feel is a bit high. Looking for input form the team here to see what a fair offer should be on this car.

Way high for a PDK.

Similar build, clean carfax, PDK, ventilated seats, standard interior. Sold for $60k, but the mileage is 67k, so quite a bit higher than the one you're looking at. I'd argue that Meteor Grey is a more desirable colour as well.
This MG 6-speed sold for a bit more ($73k). Lower miles plus the manual premium.

There's another one live on BaT right now - black, PDK but with full leather interior, SPASM, LSD and lower miles.

I would say that's close to market... provided it is in excellent condition- paint and interior, service is up to date (plugs, serpentine belt, filters, brake fluid), tires are good. I would deduct for any work needed or if there is any paint work in the past.

The ventilated seats is (are?) a nice option - especially if you are in the South or West. Test drove one and although the fans can be noisy - it was very comforting.
Wish my 997.2 had that option.

The S is usually priced higher, and the more options the higher the ask. It's hard to find CA cars under 50k miles with that spec and no damage. You might offer 62k and see if they bite if you like the car.

I track auctions for 997.2 coupes I have 15 sales recorded so far averaging $67,760. The average sale price was $62,371 in 2023 over 45 sales. PDK 2023-2024 sales averaged $59,257 and six speeds $64,779. This data is for 71 total auctions and the averages include the buyer's premium. No turbos, outlaws, just Base, S and GTS cars.

The car is essentially at “market” so no one here can say good buy or bad. Will depend on condition and care of the car. Could be a steal or could be a dog.

Agreed. But I'm a firm believer in the concept that the "right" car chooses you. Due diligence is key but that Lovin feeling is that Lovin feelin.
