Default Activating Surround View

This is probably just a newbie question, especially because I don't see any other posts about it...

How does one manually activate the surround view display, when say pulling into a parking spot, etc. 75% of the time it activates automatically, but that extra 25% of the time when I want to see how close I am to something, I am not sure how to activate it manually!

On the right side of the multi-function steering wheel there's a button with a star on it. This can be programed to fast track one function including surround view. Instructions to set up are in the manual under "Vehicle Settings...What do you want to do".

That’s what I did too. Bummer there’s no actual button for it like in my sister’s Audi ETron.

I have it programmed to the diamond button on the steering wheel.
It self-activates based on what the proximity sensors pick up which of course varies by the height of the obstacle except for when reversing, then it defaults to reverse camera view to satisfy US federal regulations.

Yep. Program the diamond button on the right side of the steering wheel to turn it on.
