Show me your fire extinguisher mount.
A small track was built in my area recently so I will be doing some time attack laps. We are required to have a fire extinguisher. I'm looking at a few different options. Please do post up if you have a sweet setup, pics appreciated.
Here is the track. Small, but should be fun for some laps.

That's pretty cool; when I go on a long drive, I put it behind the passenger seat, probably wouldn't pass tech, but I can get to it fast if need be.

There are a couple of easy options:
Brey-Kraus
Etsy
Had the Brey-Kraus bracket in an '02 Boxster. Installation is easy...it attaches to the passenger seat frame. Don't have a picture though

This Rennline one looks pretty good.

Edit: I ordered the Rennline one for $250 so I'll post up once I have it installed. It looks pretty pro to me so I thought I'd give it a try.

I once had one I kept handy just tucked in the rear drivers side footwell of the rear and somehow one day the lever got pressed and fire extinguisher "powder" was ejected inside and on the carpeted floor.
Now I just keep it in the frunk where I'd never get to it in time if needed.

I got my Rennline installed. I'm pretty satisfied with it. I didn't opt for the aluminum quick release so I'm just using the stock bracket and straps that came with the extinguisher which seems fine to me. I had to force the fit a little more than I liked but I got it installed.
Mine is just the cheaper powder stuff, since someone asked. I'm not really planning on ever using it but if I did my car is probably gone so whatever.

I've got the Brey Krause one with the quick release that fits in the same spot and the fit sounds similar... not the greatest.
Fire extinguisher wise I've got a Halon extinguisher in the floorboard mount, a Lifeline AFFF in the trunk (wouldn't fit the BK quick release...), and I've also got 4 of the Element fire extinguisher sticks (about the size and shape of an emergency flare) in the door pockets.
I'll get a full fire suppression system one of these days, but in the event something happens hopefully have enough to save it.

With these cars the only fire issue I've heard of is the power steering lines blowing all over the right side turbo and exhaust causing a fire. The fuel system seems really solid. Of course if you crash anything can happen and you might need to save yourself...

I know two folks who have fires. One a WRX that sprayed PS fluid on the manifold / turbo. Could have been saved if he had an extinguisher. The other a 996tt who went farming at VIR and lit dry grass on fire. He used an extinguisher from the corner worker station and saved the car with just some wiring and under trays taking a hit from the heat.
I've had a halon / halon substitute extinguisher mounted on the passenger seat in my Miata for something like 14 years. The cheap stamped steel mount does just fine. That Rennline quick release sure is pretty but it is stupid expensive.
I'm leaning towards the Brey Krause or the Rennline mount that attach to the passenger seat itself where the factory kit would have mounted. I need to figure out if the bottle / mount will interfere with the airbag deactivation buckle or my kid's legs before pulling the trigger though.

Home Depot sells a nice car unit for like $30 bucks or so and the mount it comes with fits perfect on a roll bar with a couple of zip ties.

For guys actually racing the car, a real system w/ halon and engine/cockpit nozzles would be better. How you gonna reach something mounted under the pass seat in a harness?
