Default Summit Point w/ WDCR SCCA DE kicks butt!

I had a great weekend at Summit Point with Washing DC Region SCCA at their big 3 Day DE. They had a great 3 day Driver's Ed event with great track time, class room sessions for each group, students, instructors, lunches, dinners, great comradery and more. I think it was one of the most fun events I've been to ever. What was really impressive was the group of drivers - their advanced group and instructor group were the best I've ever been on track with. With a lot of cars on track at once, there were no trains, passes were quick (full passing in the corners and they really did it!), everyone was respectful, and really fun off track. The social aspect of the club is as good as any.

One really cool thing I hadn't seen before geared towards the instructors - after the first student session, they had a 5 minute instructor meeting to make sure all was good. It was a really easy way to make sure the assignments were good, on track was good, and no one was in a bad situation.

I know there are a lot of groups talked about that have great programs, but I think this might top any that I've been to an event with. If you are in the Mid Atlantic, looking for a trip, or like Summit Point (and you should), there are events are the ones to hit. I already have 2025 on the calendar (and I did almost 1,600 miles towing if you count the trip to AiM before).

MSR. They have some events coming up at Shenandoah and Jefferson. I'm trying to see if there is a good way for me to leave my car down there and do a few events in a row with them.

I know some folks in the area...

We're back on Main in early October with stops at Jefferson and Shenandoah in the interim. Reg is through MSR.

It was a blast having Matt there with us.

Jefferson and especially Shenandoah are very different tracks from Main.
