When I posted this morning I was thinking of parting with my 993. Many of you PM'me and some of you posted below not to do this...I THANK you for your responses. What was I thinking! After I posted the original thread I was sick to my stomach driving to work. So I have decided to do my very best to keep the car. You are right. Lots of love and care over the years has gone in to this...Cant replicate this today or tomorrow for sure and i can tell you this is a truly amazing 911 to drive. With the mods on it its a scant 2750 dry and its so direct, so sweet. Anyway she is NOT for sale, but I think as all of us enjoy each others passions I will leave the rest of the thread intact. The only things for sale will be the Heigo Roll cage and the spare rims and these will be listed below with pricing.. I intent for this car to be passed on to my son. For those of you who know me and the car it is a very special car, frankly almost impossible to build again with the parts it contains. I recently spend a lot of money and started to restore it to perfection. I wanted to show the car and enjoy it this summer. It now has a beautiful respray in the original midnight blue and truly the exterior is perfect. The car started its life in Miami and I bought it from the original owner. It had about 85K miles on it. hard to believe but in 23 years I have put probably less than 10K miles on her. initially i bought it to turn it into a race car. This project morphed the car in the spec that its currently in. So this is the list of the parts on the car: 1. ANDIAL 3.6 Engine. Titanium valves, ported polished etc. The parts alone on this built were 13K in 2003! Dynoed 320HP on the Wheels. About 9K miles on this engine since the built. 2. OEM RS Varioram. That was adapted to the Andial Engine. It can be reversed as well because the Andial engine was built on a 95 MY. 3. OEM RS Single pulley/ AC delete 4. OEM RSCS headers without heat boxes 5. Stock Exhaust and Original Fabspeed Supercaps included 6. OEM G50/21 Gearbox. Sourced from Porsche in Germany as some of you know THE best and original 993 gearbox that stateside 993's never came with. 7. RS Short shifter and OEM RS Carbon/alu Leather Shift **** 8. OEM Porsche Motorsports 100% locking differential 9. OEM RS clutch and single plate 10. Andial midweight flywheel 11. JRZ Triple Adjustable shocks. 12. TRG Adjustable sway bars front and Rear 13. TRG Springs 700lbs front 900 lbs rear 14. OEM RS 18" Speedlines with fresh Michelin street tires 15. Elephant Racing solid bushings and links 16. TRG Adjustable strut brace 17. OEM RS washer reservoir 18. OEM RSCS front splitters and adjustable rear wing. These are NOT copies. 19. OEM Big Red RS Calipers and disks. The OEM RS Calipers are different than the normally Big Reds out of the Turbo which are normally available. The RS caliper have a different diameter pistons in the rear for proper brake balance on the narrow body RS. These were factory sourced in 2003. 20. OEM RS steering wheel in Alcantara without the airbag. Stock 993 wheel is also part of the sale. 21. Recaro cloth seats on Recaro adjustable mounts. 22. Aluminum pedals 23. OEM Turbo S airducts with for lights 24. OEM Euro rear bumper 25. Shaved front bumperettes 26. Euro clear turn lights 27. My intention was to also restore the interior but I have not done that yet. However I have a full genuine RS carpet including the RS script at the rear purchased from Gert in Red Script. Hope that I will install it and pair it with a set of red seatbels it will perfect the interior. Seats are fairly new and in perfect condition.
The Heigo Rollcage that was bolted in the car is out of the car and has been posted on a separate sale as well as a set of 18" OEM Carrerra II BBS rims. Both or separately are for sale Im looking for 2K Canadian $ for each .

I mean, I don't know about your circumstances, but seeing how much time, love, work, money, and dedication you put into the car, it's well worth passing it down to your son.
Unless, of course, you disowned him. This would be tragic, but I am sure a couple of Porsche enthusiasts are ready to queue up to be adopted for this beauty.

Man you are soo right! All morning at work I was sick to my stomach thinking about it!
Smart move...Each 993 I sold over time (usually to try something else including other 911's) yielded nothing but higher and higher purchase prices to get back into a 993 and starting over sorting the car. I have bought way too many RS steering wheels, heat bypass tubes, coilover sets and RS sway bars!
This car, literally, has everything properly updated. I mean engine, tranny, RS stuff all around, Recaros, etc. the 10k mileage in 23 yrs is something hard to understand, but that is your choice.

I was reading in the Wall Street Journal today about how the cost of purchasing, financing, insuring, servicing and repairing modern electronics laden cars has resulted in the average age of cars on the road to climb significantly as folks strive to avoid these draconian costs.
This is all good for the 993 and really all vintage cars with their lower cost to own. It may even ignite the car restoration business as folks abandon new car purchases for an older model they love. I have already seen this with our other car, a Lexus SC430, discontinued in 2010 where a strong following has extended its service life considerably. A nice SC430 is only a $6000 to $8000 car where a new Lexus LC model is north of $99,000.
